So how do you go about getting a good deal on a used Honda four wheeler when you really can't physically see it? That's the problem with purchasing any four wheeler online: the new buyer really wants to be able to touch the four wheeler prior to purchase since Honda four wheelers and others can and probably should be ridden hard.
First of all, ask for more photos! If you are a serious buyer, and the seller is serious about selling to you, then it shouldn't be difficult to get some up close shots of the engine of the Honda four wheeler you are interested in. You want to see that the the engine is being properly maintained before you make a purchase. Of course, if the seller states that the Honda four wheeler is new, then you are probably fine with the photos shown, but to be safe, always ask for up close engine photos.
I would also ask for photos of the seat, the lights, the axles, and the shocks. All of those are susceptible to wear and tear as well as corrosion from water and mud. The properly maintained Honda four wheeler, the kind that we want to purchase in used condition, should be taken care of in all of these areas, but always verify.
Second: Look at the used buyer's guide! NADA provides a great free resource on the prices of all used ATV's, including Honda four wheelers of course, so use the guide to determine if you are getting a good deal prior to purchase. You can find the Honda four wheeler values at NADA.
