The Polaris Sportsman 700 features an electronic fuel injected twin cylinder, four stroke engine. The 700 is and was fully automatic and includes a reverse and park gear. 4 wheel drive for the Polaris Sportsman 700 is provided to the rider "on demand". With an electric start and a digital dashboard, the 700 ATV is really easy to start and get going! Couple that with the fairly comfortable seat, and you'll be happy sitting in the saddle of this Sportsman 700 for hours.

Of course, with an independent front and rear suspension, the Polaris 700 four wheeler does handle pretty well. People who have owned the 700 ATV have found that it does lack in certain tough to climb situations, or in deep mud. Thankfully most Sportsman 700 four wheelers come equipped with a 2500 pound winch to help get the rider out of tough problem areas.
