The Suzuki LTZ 250 four wheeler, or quad has been available for many years and has been the standard at Suzuki as the starting point for new riders to the ATV world. The Suzuki LTZ 250 was originally named the LT250 way back in 1987 or so, but was renamed to the LTZ 250 in the early 2000 period. Since that time, Suzuki has improved the line a bit with a few upgrades to the components and drive components, but the Suzuki LTZ 250 that is sold today is practically the same four wheeler that has been sold for the past 6-7 years. Not necessarily seen as a good thing in most products, but in four wheelers, when you get the ATV to a point where it just cannot be better at the price people are willing to purchase it, then why mess with perfection?

The Suzuki LTZ 250 four wheeler's latest model (as of this writing) is the 2009 edition. Also known as the QuadSport Z250, the four wheeler is designed to be as easy to use as humanly possible because Suzuki knows that to keep the new rider's interest, we need to make it easy to ride the quad. With that said, the 2009 LTZ 250 features an electric start, even in gear, so you can get out on the trail as quick as possible and start blasting around on the 246cc 4-stroke engine!

The Suzuki LTZ 250 Quad takes corners super quick as the setup promotes a low center of gravity for keep the four wheeler in traction, even in deep sand. However, the quad does feature preload adjustable shocks to customize the ride based on the needs of the rider. 6.3 inches of travel in front gives you a lot of options in riding style customization as does the 6.7 inches of travel in the rear.

The frame of the Suzuki LTZ 250 four wheeler is sturdy and strong, as its meant to last over many years. With steel tubing for the frame, skid plates, and bumper area, the LTZ 250 will stand up to just about any abuse you can give it. Steel just doesn't give, and the Suzuki 250 relies solely on the shocks to provide cushion as you pound your way down the trail.

The gas tank is pretty standard for a quad in this engine size. 2.8 gallons of fuel capacity should last a long time on the trail. With the .7 gallon reserve tank, even if you run out of gas in the main, having enough to get back home should not be a problem.

Suzuki's quads have taken a bit of a back seat in development at Suzuki with the explosion of the King Quad utility four wheeler market, at least in the US (In European countries, especially the UK, this statement can be reversed). While quads used to be the main point of research at Suzuki, utility four wheelers have become more prominent in recent years, and therefore get the most attention. However, we don't say that to mean the Suzuki LTZ 250 (or QuadRunner Z250) isn't still a great quad ATV. It is, but the fact that the latest model is from 2009 should provide you just about enough information to know that buying used isn't going to be a bad option in the case of this four wheeler!
