If you are searching for a nice new or used Yamaha Grizzly 660 four wheeler for sale, we think we can help you out, but we should probably tell you about the specs on at least one of the Yamaha Grizzly 660 models (the 2008 model) before we let you see what's available!
The Yamaha Grizzly 660 four wheeler sports a 660 cc engine which is lighter than most similarly sized engines making the Grizzly 660 one of the better performers when it comes down to how much more power you have with weight savings on the ATV. The engine is a liquid-cooled engine, as are most utility four wheelers these days with four stroke and five valve cylinders also being pretty standard. Yamaha continues the weight reduction by designing a super light steel frame to complete the Grizzly 660 at just 600 lbs in total weight.
The transmission on the Yamaha Grizzly 660 four wheeler is fully automatic using Yamaha's "Ultramatic®" transmission. The Ultramatic is purportedly to be one of the more high-tech transmissions available to four wheelers today with it's centrifugal clutch providing much more consisten belt tension than other transmissions. Yamaha states that this effort helps to reduce belt wear and tear, giving you a much longer time before a change is needed. The transmission on the Grizzly 660 also provides better braking performance, as it helps stop the ATV using all four wheels and stepping up even more on inclines.
You'll also find the ability to switch between two wheel drive and four wheel drive much easier on the Grizzly 660 four wheeler. With Yamaha's three point in and out 4WD system, allowing the rider to quickly switch between limited slip or locked differential 4WD, or down to 2WD with just a press of the In/Out button on the handlebar.

You'll be grateful for Yamaha's focus on suspension technology for the Grizzly 660 ATV. In addition to installing completely independent four wheel suspension on the Grizzly 660, Yamaha also thought to place shocks on the four wheeler which can be preload adjusted in five different settings. With this setup you can make your Grizzly 660 four wheeler ride like you want, and feel like you want. Add the almost 12 inches of ground clearance to the 35 inches of seat height, and your comfort level and control of the four wheeler become yours to manage, and not your four wheeler's mechanic.

You'll have no trouble starting the Yamaha Grizzly 660 ATV as it's electric start with just the one button to use in cranking the engine. However, if you're stuck on the trail and get the electronics too wet (it happens), then Yamaha built a backup pull start onto the Grizzly to help get you started in a jam.
The instrument panel on the Yamaha Grizzly 660 four wheeler is pretty impressive by itself. Featuring an LCD display for the speedometer, odometer, and fuel guage, it also incorporates information for the 4 wheel drive, transmission status, and trip meters. The display makes it very easy on the rider to see the information they need quickly without taking their eyes off the trail.
